It’s Carers Week from June 10th – 16th and charity Carers in Hertfordshire is inviting people who provide unpaid care to someone due to their age, illness or disability, along to its free events.
The charity provides information, advice, learning opportunities and other support to Hertfordshire’s carers and has several events taking place in Hatfield during Carers Week, including:
- A Games Afternoon for Male Carers on Tuesday 11th June, 1pm – 3pm, at Oxlease House. Carers can play some card or board games and enjoy some refreshments and conversation.
- Carers’ Information Event on Thursday 13th June, 10.30am – 12.30pm and 1.30pm – 3.30pm, at Birchwood Leisure Centre. There will be representatives from a range of local organisations that can support them including Hertfordshire County Council and a Solicitor there.
- The drop-in Hatfield Evening Carers’ Group meets on Wednesday 12th June, 7.30pm – 9pm, at Tesco (Community Room), Oldings Corner. There will be a resilience session teaching techniques to cope with the stresses of caring.
